The LightSheer DUET offers your physician two handpiece choices depending on your needs. The LightSheer High Speed handpiece uses breakthrough vacuum-assisted technology in combination with diode laser light to make hair removal fast and comfortable without requiring topical anesthetics and gels. The LightSheer ETTM handpiece with ChillTip® provides cooling to smaller areas. With these options, your physician can truly customize your treatment to your hair type, skin type, and lifestyle.

During your laser hair removal treatment, you may feel a sensation akin to the flick of elastic band or a small poke, a feeling that will only last a fraction of a section.

Approximately five to six treatments are required; however, this varies from person to person. Pigment in the hair (hair colour) and personal tolerance play a role in the number of treatments required.

Normally treatments on the body are spaced at six weeks apart. Treatments above the neck are spaced four weeks apart.

The area to be treated must be shaven of all hair, but NOT waxed, plucked or threaded for at least three to four weeks prior. Topical numbing cream is only needed for smaller areas on the face and bikini line; with the LightSheer DUET larger areas do not need a topical cream.
